HOME VISITS - FLEXIBLE SERVICE Care

For many people, the question of care services at home does not arise until, suddenly, there is a need. Most of us think the stark choice is either living self sufficiently (without help) in our own familiar surroundings or to have to go into care/ a home.

JM Homecare can be the buffer you need to allow a realistic alternative to people being able to stay at home, with familiar friends, relatives and possessions all around them. No upheaval, no stress and no trouble. JM Homecare will visit you in your home to talk about your requirements and then tailor a bespoke package of required help or care.

Care visits can be arranged from 30 minutes upwards. There is no top limit however, in reality, most of our care visits are between 30 minutes and 1 hour long.

Some of the services we offer are:

-Personal Care - assisting with starting the day or the tasks required before going to bed. Help to get washed/showered/bathed, to get dressed or undressed and perhaps to help get breakfast or supper.

Shopping - We can take a service user with us or can help to organise a shopping list, go out and purchase the items on the list and bring them back and put away. Sometimes, a service user may wish to be accompanied to the shops or on a trip - this can also be arranged.

Food Preparation - We can prepare food and drink. Our Care Workers receive relevant training in food hygiene with the company operating strict policies and procedures for food preparation.

Medication - we can ensure the taking of medication is prompted or assisted.

Domestic Tasks - cleaning, laundry, ironng and all the other household tasks that require to be carried out regularly but which are now proving to be difficult.Care

Respite - a family member may be a principle carer and will require relief from time to time or on a more regular basis to allow time for themselves. A Care Worker can stand in for the principle carer to provide companionship.

Night Service - some clients require care services through the night. We can arrange for support on a 'sleeper night' basis, where the Care Worker expects a reasonable night's sleep but is on hand for emergencies, or a 'waking night' where the care worker is on duty throughout the night.

This is only a selection of the services JM Homecare can provide. Each client is very individual and therefore, so are their needs. We can provide other services where practical. Please discuss your requireents with our Care Manager.
